Goji Wellness Clinic was started in Victoria BC by owner and practitioner, Dr. Carmen Carpenter. She has always had an interest in medicine since a young age. During her Anthropology degree at the University of Calgary, she took a special interest in medical anthropology. Rather than continuing on to a masters and further, she decided she wanted learn the medicine itself rather than study it from a distance. So she moved to Victoria on a whim and started at Pacific Rim College. 5 more years of education, and 1 pandemic later the doors of Goji Wellness Clinic are finally open!

It's a common misconception that Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture are only effective at treating pain. While it is often effective for pain management, there is an array of other health concerns that may be addressed. From women's health to digestive issues to insomnia, we are willing to work with all clients and all health concerns.

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine has been around for thousands of years. It takes a natural, holistic approach to health, to create balance within the whole body and mind.

At Goji Wellness Clinic, we are focused on providing treatments that address the root of illness to optimize your health. Through the use of diet therapy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion, we strive to help restore balance within the body. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be involved in their own well-being. Contact us to learn more!

"In peaceful calm, void and emptiness, The authentic qi flows easily. Essences and spirits are kept within. How could illness arise?"

ACUPUNCTURE
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Acupuncture involves putting needles into the body along invisible lines we call meridians. The goal is to open up the meridians and allow qi (or energy) to flow freely to assist the body in healing itself. In this session we will review your health history, follow up on previous treatments, and come up with a health solution that suites your individual needs. It may also include other modalities such as gua sha, tui na (chinese massage), and moxibustion, as well as some lifestyle advice and dietary therapy.

Chinese herbal medicine allows us to dig deeper into the body and the root of the problem. Herbal formulas are chosen based on the clients specific needs. (Cost of herbs extra, approximatly $20-$60 for 2-4 week supply)

CUPPING
ACUSCULPTING

Cupping is a therapy to help relieve pain. It involves glass cups that are applied to the area to create suction. It creates microtears in superficial blood vessels , triggering the body to begin the self healing process. Think of it like a reverse massage!

Acusculpting ® is a specialized cosmetic acupuncture system targeting the whole body. This unique protocol is designed to firm, lift, tighten and shape tissues and skin thereby ‘sculpting’ the face and body. Specialized needle protocols, as well as massage, cupping, and gua sha techniques, helps to reduce inches, lift, plump, and change the overall appearance and structure of internal and external layers of the dermis.
